Transition Toronto works locally to improve communities and inspire change.  Here are a few of our projects.

If you're interested in volunteering with these or other projects, get in touch with us to let us know.

FOOD UP FRONT

WE’RE BACK FOR THE 2021 GROWING SEASON!!!

We help people grow their own healthy food in their own front yards, balconies, porches etc.! We are handing out seeds and calling for volunteers to help us do so! If you would like to get involved or order seeds (for free) to build your own garden this spring please visit our project page to do so!

TreeMobile

TreeMobile delivers and plants food-bearing trees, shrubs, and other perennials to improve local food security, reduce food miles, reforest urban communities, and create delicious food.  TreeMobile has its own website here, which functions as the TreeMobile online store in winter and early spring.

EcoFair TORONTO

With partners Green Neighbours Network, Transition Toronto organizes and hosts EcoFair Toronto annually.  EcoFair Toronto is the largest volunteer-run EcoFair in Toronto, having hosted thousands of attendees.  The EcoFair features exhibitors, workshops, interactive activities, and films that educate attendees on options for more sustainable living.

Complementary Currency - The T-Note

Many Transition Towns create local currencies, and for good reason.  Local currencies keep money in the local economy and can challenge the conventional-currency resource-consumption system. Transition Toronto is developing the "T-Note", and the project could use your help. Let us know if you're interested in contributing.
